I’ve mentioned before that I write. I’ve also alluded to the fact that I can never seem to juggle reading, writing and blogging and do all three well simultaneously. One of them always seems to suffer.
For the past few months, it’s been my writing. I’m about 15,000 words into my current WIP. These 15,000 words have been polished to the nth degree. I need to force myself to stop editing my manuscript and FINISH the darn thing.
I found NaNoWriMo enormously beneficial, so I thought I’d give Harlequin’s Book in 3 Months Challenge (BI3M) a go. The idea is to write a category romance in three months. The first two months are for the actual writing, and revisions come in the third month. As my WIP is aimed at one of the Harlequin lines, I thought this would be the perfect challenge for me.
Throughout the challenge, I will need to devote some of the time I usually set aside for blogging to my writing. However, I hope to continue posting about three times per week. If anyone would like to submit a guest post, please let me know!

You know I’m good for just a few words — maybe I could even manage a paragraph or two! — so say the word, and I’m yours.
@Magdalen: Yay! Thank you. Email with your ideas and we can set a date.
I’ll do something for ya mid-July*ish if you’d like: the books of my childhood like the series by Rosemary Sutcliff and that vein.
Or alternatively, an entire blog on Leslie Lane’s most fantastic gothic romance, The Bride of Eversham.
Your choice!
I could do a guest blog for you – I’ve been thinking of putting together a top five of my favorite Marriage of Convenience novels. Drop me an email if that sounds like something you could use.
And good luck with the writing challenge!
@Janet W: Thank you, Janet. That would be fantastic.
@Victoria Janssen: That definitely sounds like an interesting post. I’ll send you an email. Thanks!
I’ll be able to submit something too Sarah.
@Andrea: Sorry, Andrea, I missed your comment. As for the offer to guest post: yes, please!
