Today is St. Patrick’s Day, the Irish national holiday. My main childhood memories of St. Patrick’s Day are of people throwing up in the streets at 10am, and dodgy fireworks which probably wouldn’t have passed inspection in any other allegedly civilised country. I also remember the vile Shamrock Shakes (aka Snake Shakes) at McDonald’s. I believe the official flavour was mint.
In addition to being St. Patrick’s Day, it is also the day of Avid Book Reader’s monthly TBR Challenge. My review is late! I’m hoping to have it up next week. I have an excellent excuse, though: I’m still reading the wonderful Nemesis by Jo Nesbo.
Major congratulations to Katiebabs for selling her first book! I’m so excited for her. She’s an inspiration to all writer-reader bloggers.
Finally, if you’re spending today drinking green Guinness and sporting a leprechaun hat, have a good one!
