Thanks to everyone for the Christmas wishes. I hope your day went as well as mine. The dinner party was a success – whew! The tree didn’t burn to the ground. Everyone ate too much. And no one fought! All good.

Just immediate family for the most part for me — unusually, we’re going to have roast beast with Yorkshire pudding. A velly British dinner! And then the next day I’m making tortiere. I’m sure all will go well — try to ENJOY yourself!

I read in such a mad blur that it’s difficult to make a best of anything list. Plus I’m almost always re-reading. But I look forward with interest to your lists

I got off lucky, only have to bring a pre-baked ham to my mom’s tomorrow. I’m out of town from the 26-29th and hope to phone you before I start work back on the 4th.

I’ll tell you — best Christmas present ever was 3 years ago when my siblings got all pissy about my divorcing Henry and marrying Ross. I kept Henry (as a friend) and Ross (as a hubby) and ditched the sibs!

As a result, and with all my former and current in-laws in the UK, I merely have to cook for 3 people over the long weekend. (Wrapping is still a major chore, though — must get that done today.)

Wow, a HP Notebook, that is some Xmas pressie! Enjoy!
I want to start my 2009 round-up too, but am so behind in writing reviews that I’m doing that first, my round-up and top lists will probably appear somewhere first week of January.

We are hosting a Xmas brunch on Saturday (we have 2 Xmas days here) so tomorrow will be all about the baking and cooking…tomorrow just a quiet dinner for hubby and me…before the family members storm our house Saturday!

Enjoy Dreamfever, I am still saving this series for when the last release is due to arrive. Couldn’t bear to wait a year for the outcome
