OMG Squee! Meredith Duran has a book coming out in 2010? I thought she was on a break! Yay! and two from Lisa Kleypas???????????? Double yay!
count me as one waiting for the Quinn, the James and the Turner as well!
Mine is pretty much same as the first quarter of your list. But nowadays, though, I’m not as author-oriented as I was before, so I’ll go for any book that sounds interesting.
@Ana Yep, both Meredith Duran’s website and Amazon list Wicked Becomes You as a May 2010 release. As far as I know, the Lisa Kleypas books are to be published back-to-back, but I could only find the exact release date for Married by Morning.
@Maili When compiling a list like this, I’m definitely more author-oriented. When it comes to buying books, though, I’m a mix. If a book sounds interesting, I like the excerpt and/or it’s gotten good reviews, I’m happy to take a chance on a new-to-me author, but I generally don’t know which books those will be this far in advance.
I’m pretty close to making a calendar to count down the days to Julia Spencer-Fleming’s next book. Everything else is a pale shadow along the way, capable of distracting me only briefly while I wait.
Wow! I appreciate how organized you are. There are a few books that I am longing to read and I keep their release dates in mind. For the most part, though, I just plot my to buy list about a month in advance. The Julia Spencer-Fleming is definitely on my list of things I’m longing for, though. I’m also longing for a new release from Tana French coming out in July.
Wow, we have pretty much of the same on our list for 2010. There are a few that skipped my attention I’ll be adding them to my list
Thanks!
Oh, fantastic list! I want so many of these books. I’m going to have to start my own 2010 wishlist to make sure I don’t miss anything.
I’ve got many on my hot wishlist from CL Wilson’s Tairen Soul, Anna Campbell’s My Reckless Surrender, Shayla Black’s Delicious, Lauren Dane’s releases you have up too and a new fantasy trilogy that will start with L.J. McDonald – The Battle Sylph (Bk 1)
So much more is on my list and I haven’t checked out half of my regular authors *eek*
Lovely list..I bookmarking it. I’m pretty much excited about them all..LOL
@Magdalen I know! I’ve now got my mother addicted to Julia Spencer-Fleming’s books. Conveniently, her birthday is towards the end of March…
@Lynn Thank you! I adore Julia Spencer-Fleming’s mysteries. I really should try Tana French’s books. She went to university with me in Dublin, but I only knew her peripherally.
@Pearl That’s why I love when people post these lists. I almost always find a book I’d missed.
@Meghan If you do make a list, please post it. I’d love to see which books are on your radar for 2010.
@Leontine I have the first two books in the C.L. Wilson series, but I haven’t read them yet. I’d never heard of Shayla Black before you mentioned her. Just checked out her site. The Wicked Lovers series sounds really good! Once again, Leontine proves dangerous to the family finances…
@Mandi Thanks, Mandi! Your recent list inspired me to spruce up my own.
Yes – Definitely try Tana French’s books. The first one was a good read, but the second one (The Likeness) was just fabulous! And interesting that you knew her, even if you weren’t close friends.
I am very excited for Megan Whalen Turner’s next release. Since it tends to be years between her books, it also seems more special when she finally puts one out.
I’m excited about Silver Borne and Shadowfever too! I just wish they would set a date for Shadowfever, then maybe the waiting wouldn’t be so bad. Maybe.
Thanks for the great list and the release dates; I’m adding them to my calendar right now. I’ve been having trouble finding those dates on Amazon.
I think the only ones I have to add are the next Suzanne Enoch, JD Robb, and Mary Jo Putney. They don’t have dates yet but Enoch and Robb usually release books 6 months apart (they both had books in Nov) and Putney a year from her last one.
I love these list, I am so far behind with making my lists, I am adding many of your books on mine list.
You have some great reading ahead of you! I am looking forward to read Jill Shalvis’ books, the Ward, the Duran and Shayla Black books. And many many more of course!
Oh yeah! I am right there with you on at least half of your picks! Love Briggs, Kleypas, James, Kinsale, Quinn, McCarthy and Moning.
I haven’t tried Naughton yet, nor Higgins, but they are on my list.
Dane and Dahl, were okay for me, but I will probably give them another try.
@heidenkind I’m spoiled in this regard as I’m new to Megan Whalen Turner’s books. So far, I’ve only read The Thief and I’m planning to read and review The Queen of Attolia for Keishon’s next TBR Challenge.
@Pamela I’m a few books behind on Suzanne Enoch’s backlist. I believe her recent trilogy was excellent and I have them on my TBR shelf.
@Marissa That’s the second mention of Shayla Black! I’m going to have to give her a go.
@Jill D. I think you might enjoy Elisabeth Naughton’s books. KristieJ is also a fan. I’m not so sure about Kristan Higgins. I find her books adorable but many romance readers dislike the 1st person POV and the fact that many of her books have an almost chick lit feel to them.
Definitely the Kinsale. If I buy no other books next year, that’s the one I want. Then it’s Tairen Soul, anything by Kathleen O’Reilly, Nalini Singh, Ann Aguirre and Ava Gray. And, okay, the JR Ward.
