It’s been a while since I did a post on new additions to my To Be Read (TBR) shelf. Here are a few books which arrived in the mail this week.

  • The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop (Omnibus edition 2003) – Fantasy
  • The Brightest Star in the Sky (2009) by Marian Keyes – Women’s Fiction
  • Going Too Far (2009) by Jennifer Echols – YA
  • Where Serpents Sleep (2008) by C.S. Harris – Regency Mystery
  • Giving Chase (2006) by Lauren Dane - Contemporary Romance

Did you get any new books recently? Which ones are you particularly looking forward to reading?

Ooooooh Black Jewels Trilogy. I’ll be curious to see what you think of it!

I loved the Black Jewels Trilogy! Hope you enjoy it. =)

I still have to read Marian Keyes’ last book, This Charming Man. But The Brightest Star in the Sky doesn’t come out in the US until January 21st, so I have some time to catch up.

I just started the newest J D Robb ‘In Death’ book. God, I love Roarke!

@Jill D. @heidenkind Yeah, I’m really looking forward to the Black Jewels Trilogy. The omnibus edition is formidable but I couldn’t resist the price.

@Andrea This Charming Man is probably my least favourite of Marian Keyes’s books. I still enjoyed it but not as much as the one she wrote just prior to it, Is Anybody Out There? This latest is getting great reviews. It sounds like a nice Christmas read.

@Carolyn I think I read the first couple of In Death books many years ago but for some reason I haven’t kept up with the series.

Am curious to see how you go with the Lauren Dane, I heart Dane muchly.

I have Blaze of Memory, a Denise Rosetti, Shadowlight, a Shiloh Walker winging their way to me. But the ones I am most excited about are two Shelly Laurenston titles!

@Edie If the Shiloh Walker is Hunter’s Need, I stayed up late last night finishing it. It’s really good!

Edie November 7, 2009 at 14:42

No that is for the next order, went with a contemporary – suspensey one from the back catalogue that I had missed. But very glad that Hunter’s Need is good!
