I can't pretend to know the future of books but I've always agreed that a book will be easier (than an electronic device) to read in the bathtub. AND I have to agree with the bookshelf concept, too. How will we know what to think of people if we can't see what books they have in house? :)

Okay, let me see what I can do. (Ross has software that makes creating cryptic puzzles easier.) I'll do something involving romances!

Magdalen, Please include me too -- my doestheNYTimescrosswordpuzzleininkguybrother -- enjoys cryptics so much and I'd like to at least try to experience what he does. My actuary husband does sudokus with numbers/words -- I've done enough to understand why he enjoys them and that's what I'm looking for.

Cryptics for a rank beginner (not rank smell LOL!)

Thanks for the plug, Sarah -- and if you want any help with cryptic crosswords, give us a holler. Ross used to edit The Listener, a weekly cryptic in the London Times, and generally considered to be the hardest crossword in the English language. But we can start you off with something really easy, if you like.
