There are several new releases I’m looking forward to this November. Which books are you planning to buy?
I’m particularly excited the fourth and final book in Elizabeth Hoyt’s The Legend of the Four Soldiers quartet of historical romances. To Desire a Devil features Reynaud St. Aubyn, recently returned from the dead.
Blurb: Reynaud St. Aubyn has spent the last seven years in hellish captivity. Now half mad with fever he bursts into his ancestral home and demands his due. Can this wild-looking man truly be the last earl’s heir, thought murdered by Indians years ago?
Beatrice Corning, the niece of the present earl, is a proper English miss. But she has a secret: No real man has ever excited her more than the handsome youth in the portrait in her uncle’s home. Suddenly, that very man is here, in the flesh—and luring her into his bed.
Only Beatrice can see past Reynaud’s savagery to the noble man inside. For his part, Reynaud is drawn to this lovely lady, even as he is suspicious of her loyalty to her uncle. But can Beatrice’s love tame a man who will stop at nothing to regain his title—even if it means sacrificing her innocence?
I’m a huge fan of Sarah Mayberry’s Blaze books. Home for the Holidays is a Harlequin Super Romance, and will be my first book from that line.
Blurb: Joe Lawson has a thing for his new neighbor Hannah Napier. As a single dad, he shouldn’t be thinking what he is about her. Still, that doesn’t stop them from gettingclose. And the way she connects with his kids, it’s as if they’re a family.
Turns out it’s too good to be true. Seems Hannah has plans that don’t include staying in Melbourne. Joe won’t stand between her and her dreams, even though letting her go is nearly impossible. The holidays are looking grim, with him and his kids missing Hannah like crazy. But it is the season of surprises, and Hannah may have one for them!
Susan Donovan’s Ain’t Too Proud to Beg is a contemporary romance. Susan Donovan’s books are hit-or-miss for me, so I’m still on the fence about buying this one.
Blurb: Now 35, Josie Sheehan has collected failed relationships the way some women collect designer handbags, and the only man who’s been sharing her bed is her Labradoodle, Genghis. All that changes when she meets Rick Rousseau, a smart and sexy pet store CEO who’s falls head-over-heels for her. Just when Josie thinks she’s found something more than puppy love, she discovers that Rick has a complicated past — and a secret that could put her in danger.
Where Serpents Sleep is the fourth title in C.S. Harris’s enjoyable Regency mystery series featuring Sebastian St. Cyr. It was originally released in 2008 and will be re-issued as a mass market paperback in November.
Blurb: Hero Jarvis, reform-minded daughter of the Prince Regent’s cousin, enlists Sebastian St. Cyr’s help in investigating the brutal murders of eight prostitutes.
Following a trail of clues from London’s seedy East End to the Mayfair mansions of a noble family, the two must race against time to stop a killer whose ominous plot threatens to shake the nation to its very core…
What Remains of Heaven by C.S. Harris is the fifth title and will be a hardcover release.
Blurb: When the controversial reform-minded Bishop of London is found bludgeoned to death in an ancient crypt beside the corpse of an unidentified man murdered decades before, Sebastian St. Cyr, Viscount Devlin, reluctantly agrees to help with the investigation.
To Sebastian’s consternation, the last person to see the Bishop alive was Miss Hero Jarvis, a woman whose already strained relationship with St. Cyr has been complicated by a brief, unexpectedly passionate encounter. As his search for the killer leads him from the back allies of Smithfield to the power corridors of Whitehall, Sebastian must confront the well-guarded secrets of his own family’s past—and a devastating truth that could ultimately force him to question who—and what—he really is.
Last but not least, The Heart of Christmas is an anthology of Christmas novellas by Mary Balogh, Nicola Cornick and debut author Courtney Milan. This was actually a mid-October release, but I only recently learned about it.

You have some great books to look forward to, Sarah!
Hoyt and Donovan are definitely on my list and was lucky to get my hands on an early copy of the Heart Of Christmas Anthology but haven’t gotten around to it yet…
As I am just getting into reading categories, I have noted the Sarah Mayberry one on my list, but not sure if I will get it. Have bought quite some HP and Blaze titles recently and need to read those first before I let myself buy anymore.
C.S. Harris is unknown to me and sounds nice but then I see book 5 is already coming out and I think: Do I need another multi-book series on the shelves? So it’s on the back-up/maybe list (the list that gets bought once I win that lottery).
@Pearl I have an anthology of Mary Balogh’s Regency Christmas novellas and I cherish it. I’m looking forward to reading this new one.
I’ve been looking forward to Reynaud’s story since the first book in Hoyt’s quartet. I suspected he wasn’t dead!
I have no idea what new releases I’m going to buy next month. After the book buying binge I went on a few weeks ago, I shouldn’t buy any books at all. =/
@heidenkind I’m probably not going to buy all of the above but they’re on my radar. I’ll definitely read the fourth C.S. Harris book in paperback before deciding whether or not I’ll get the fifth in hardcover. Still not sure about the Susan Donovan. I might wait for a few reviews to appear. Hoyt, Mayberry and the fourth C.S. Harris are definites.
